Two Rivers Lady Hurricanes defended the homecourt aginst the PSA Eagles on Thursday, January 23rd. The Lady Hurricanes held the Eagles to one point in the first half with great defensive efforts from Hannah Sullivan and Vanessa Langer.

After the half, Vanessa had a break out offensive effort scoring six points in the 3rd quarter with help from Kylie Dalton and Riana Mendoza.

It was a great team effort.

Two Rivers at MLC

On Saturday, December 15, the girls had their first game of the season. They played extremely well and fought for a dozen steals and dominated the offensive and defensive boards; unfortunately though, the basket was not on their side, so they did not come home with the win. The girls' basketball team fell to MLC with a deceiving score of 20 - 9 loss.

Pick-Up Games

On Monday, November 19th, 2012 Two Rivers held its first pick-up game of the year. We played two quick games for five minutes, which allowed several of the young ladies to showcase their skills. Mr. Costello and I (Mr. Stinchon) were very impressed with the talent and hussle that we saw on the gym floor.

We are looking forward to the the future tryouts and also the season. If this is what we have so far, we can't wait until tryouts and games.

Currently Mr. Stinchon and Mr. Costello are recruiting for the team. It has been very fun to see so many excited faces interested in being part of the first ever girls' basketball team at Two Rivers. We held an interest meeting the other day and twenty-five exctied young girls were there.

I know I speak for Mr. Costello when I say that we know that Two Rivers is full of young talent ready to bring home another trophy for Two Rivers. He and I are excited for another season coaching the Hurricanes.
